What I Like Most About Being a Catalena Cowgirl

Seeing the smiles and amazement on the faces of not only the adults but also the children throughout our routine. To be privileged enough to combine the three things I love – family, riding horses and honoring the US of A. I come from a family of veterans and fly the flag high on just about anything I can buy one for, so to be privileged to ride horses with one is quite an honor.

My Favorite Performance as a Catalena Cowgirl

The summer rodeos are certainly my favorite. They are smaller and you have the opportunity to meet the audience after the rodeo. One specific rodeo would have to be in Killeen, TX, which is a military town. During the “Meet & Greet” I was signing a napkin a little girl had. While she was petting my horse, she told me it was for her dad in Iraq. The previous year we had been at that rodeo and her dad brought her. She went on to tell me that watching the Catalena Cowgirls performance brought tears to his eyes and was his favorite part of the rodeo. She was 7 years old and asked what she had to do to become a Catalena Cowgirl. To put a smile on her face and be a role model for her is an experience words can hardly describe.
My Personal Motto / Philosophy

Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” If God brings you to it – He will bring you through it.
